The mission of Office of Information Management (OIM) is to support and enhance the academic and administrative activities of Jackson State University. This office further strives to enable the University to be a major force in revitalizing the Jackson metropolitan area by identifying and providing applications of information technology to enhance education, research and services at the university. In its leadership role, OIM will be committed to creating and nurturing the vital information technology environment required for Jackson State University to achieve its vision of excellence in teaching, prominence in research, and success in revitalizing and redeveloping the community it serves. A service break-down for the two major departments of the Office of Information Management is as follows: The Department of Information Technology is comprised of Academic Information Technology, Communications, Computer Center, Support Services, Information Systems, and Institutional Research. The Department of Enrollment Management includes Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Recruitment, and Registrar. Other services offered by OIM include faculty and staff training center, and the Help Desk. |
