Campus Tours

To Schedule Your Campus Tour/Visit, please read the following:

The Office of Undergraduate Recruitment has adopted new guidelines to improve the quality and the delivery of service for scheduling and accommodating tour groups. This new concept will allow us to become more effective and create a smoother transition that will enhance our customer service outreach.

*All group/individual tours will be scheduled Monday through Thursday for the Spring Semester and Tuesday through Friday for the Summer Semester at either 9:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. only.  

Group and/or individual tours are conducted by Tiger P.R.I.D.E. Connection which serves as Jackson State’s Student Ambassadors. (Visitations exclude holidays and Jackson  State University closures in order to provides a more informative format and enhance a smoother transition for our visitors.

SPRING TOURS (January – May)

SUMMER TOURS (June – July)

Morning: 9:00 a.m.

1. All tour requests must be made through the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment for both Spring and Summer tours.

2. All group/individual family tour requests must be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to the groups intended visit, as space is limited. Your request will be responded to within 48 hours upon receipt of your request.

3. ALL TOURS MUST BE CONFIRMED BY THE TOUR COORDINATOR in the OFFICE OF UNDERGRADUATE RECRUITMENT.

4. Any group(s) not adhering to the above guidelines and time designation without notification (within THIRTY(30) minutes of scheduled tour) cannot be guaranteed an orientation or a walking tour of Jackson State University.

Note:  Because of the extensive recruitment travel schedule during the fall semester, we strongly recommend that all our visitors wanting to visit during the Fall Semester, please make arrangements to attend our annual High School/Community College Day.  High School/Community College Day is specifically scheduled to accommodate our Fall tour requests. This day is designed as our Fall Preview Day and allows our prospective students and parents an opportunity to experience every facet of Jackson State University and ends with an exciting football game.

Tiger P.R.I,D.E. Connection (Jackson State Student Ambassadors) an organization in the Office of Undergraduate Recruitment, is available to assist visitors by showcasing the university primarily through campus tours. A university tour includes visits to the academic and auxiliary buildings while an in-depth overview of Jackson State's history is narrated. For students who are at the point in their high school or community college academic career to make a college choice, the complete application for admission process can be done at the time of the visit as well.
